Describe your project

The Idea:

The project started with a simple question: What if social media felt joyful and safe? Instead of overwhelming feeds and complex interactions, Cubsbook simplifies the experience into something light, friendly, and easy to use. It turns social media into a playful environment centered on curiosity, connection, and community.

Research & Inspiration:

I began by exploring what makes kid-friendly interfaces engaging and easy to understand. I looked at playful apps, soft visual styles, and simple interaction patterns. From this, I built a moodboard focused on warmth, softness, and friendliness.

Sketching & Structure:

Next, I sketched early ideas to map out the app’s layout and flow. This helped define the structure of the app, including how users would post, like content, and discover other panda friends.

Wireframes:

I moved into Figma to create wireframes and develop the interface. The focus was on keeping navigation simple and intuitive, while making interactions feel light and enjoyable.

Visual Design & Prototype

The final design uses soft, rounded UI elements, pastel colour palettes, and friendly icons to create a gentle and playful experience. I then built an interactive prototype in Figma to bring the concept to life and simulate how users would move through the app.

Key Features:

* Simple and intuitive navigation for young users

* Playful posting and interaction system (likes, sharing, connecting)

* Friendly, character-inspired visuals to build emotional connection

* Soft colours and rounded elements to create a safe, welcoming feel

Outcome

Cubsbook shows how design can shift the tone of social media from competitive to comforting. By focusing on simplicity, warmth, and play, the project creates a digital space that feels more like a community than a platform.
